More experimenting
Hi hi, been a while.
I'm still experimenting with illustrational styles.....below is the first in another direction.
Is based on an Image of my gorgeous girlfriend but hasn't QUITE turned out looking like her.....she even said she thinks this girl is ugly! Sorry Gem. Watch this space though - more of the same to follow.

Illustration development...
I've started getting back into illustration the last few weeks, experimenting with development in Photoshop. Drawing the detail in illustrator then adding tone, texture and definition in Photoshop. Am pleased with the results - the tricky part, I'm finding, is moving a nice piece into a finished piece of work. So suggestions are more than welcome.
With the pending arrival of a brand new graphics tab (pencil instead of a mouse) I can start evolving new styles (exciting stuff). The below is where I've started - is tricky with a mouse though.
Also below is a link to some very useful tutorials that got me started and served as a spot of inspiration.
